Genealogy

Genealogy will be located in the campus library, and researchers will be able to make use of the University's extensive collection of books and newspapers.  Each of the seven lags makes available its extensive library of genealogical materials including bygdeboker, family histories, county history books, microfilm and other resources.  On-line access to research websites like the Digitalarkivet will also be available. Each lag has an experienced genealogist who can help you in your search for ancestors in their area of Norway.  If you need translation of old Norwegian records and texts, there are translators available.  All of these resources and services are covered by the stevne registration fee.
